Paradigm

We live our lives based on a set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that…for the most part….constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them…and by community I mean a group of people having common interests…whether it be in politics, religion or moral structure and especially in an intellectual discipline. In this paradigm we compose reasoning and judgment. But just remember, in order to shift another’s paradigm you must be willing to visit theirs. Im not saying agree with their constructed beliefs or opinions but respect them as true value to the individual. Only in this fashion can you influence anyone within their model world of reality… love and respect

SELF

Whether you believe you’re worthy of respect from others (self-esteem) or whether you believe in yourself (self-confidence). In the end, both amount to the same thing. And this perception of yourself is the most you’ll ever be.

Self perception is a funny thing. I find that sometimes I will sit back in a room of my peers and become aware of each individuals “Self Perception.” This isn’t something they share with me directly or even intentionally. They actually tell me through their actions. I look at the clothes they wear, although clothes don’t make the man, they certainly affect the way one feels about him or herself…  And as we all know… no one is more aware of your physical appearance then yourself. Not just clothes, but bathing and shaving frequently, or as little as wearing clean clothe despite the style of them. I observe how they walk. Is it slow? Tired? Painful? Or is it energetic and purposeful? the way a person carries herself tells a story. does their lethargic movements give away their true feelings about themselves. Sometimes I notice that When one focus too much on what they want, the mind creates reasons why they can’t have it. This leads them to dwell on their weaknesses. Ill look around and see someone who wants to speak their mind but they’re afraid that people will judge them for saying something stupid. You may think People with high self confidence or esteem don’t have these same issues or fears… but that is completely untrue. It doesn’t mean that they are not afraid of those things as well, but that they determined and ready to overcome them. Ladies and gentlemen… empower yourself! Sometimes I will let a naysayer get to me… but then I remember their words are only that…I can choose to empower the their words or empower myself…

“Somehow I can’t believe that there are any heights that can’t be scaled by a man who knows the secrets of making dreams come true. This special secret, it seems to me, can be summarized in four C s. They are curiosity, confidence, courage, and constancy, and the greatest of all is confidence. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way, implicitly and unquestionable.”
